This is the 80,000 seater Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid. It is home to Real Madrid football club. I recently had the priviledge of watching them trounce Real Valladolid 7-0. The staduim is right in the middle of the city centre and I didn't spot it till we were right under it. This was exactly what I saw when we first spotted the stadium. In fact I took this shot immediately we stepped out of the taxi on our way for a tour the day before the match.
Over the next few days, I'll be posting some of the good and bad pictures I took around Madrid leading up to the match and at the match itself (It wasn't pretty I tell ya. Sports photography is not to be sniffed at)
